Summer and fall are the busiest time for Rocky Mountain National Park, so booking lodging in advance is advised – this is also the only time the road over Rocky Mountain National Park is open. Once the snow starts flying, Rocky Mountain National Park is a great place for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
